10 Million Units! Wecan Precision and ZenMeasure Announce Cooperation, Smart Water Meters Set to Make a Big Move!

Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, June 13, 2025 – For ZenMeasure, this marks a significant milestone in its development. Facilitated and promoted by the Liangjiang Fund Company, ZenMeasure and Wecan Precision officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement today. The two parties will join forces to advance together, focusing on deepening their engagement in the smart water meter field.

According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly conduct R&D and production centered around "multi-protocol, high-stability, low-power smart water meter remote transmission modules and their software management systems."

The partners plan to achieve a target of 10 million smart water meters within the next five years. The aim is to enhance the accuracy and security of smart water meter measurements through technological innovation, and to accelerate the market promotion of their products both domestically and internationally, with the goal of increasing China's share of the global smart water meter market.

Wecan Precision, established in 1992, is a key technology and intelligent innovation enterprise and a "Small Giant" company in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. The company has long focused on the R&D of high-precision capacitive pressure, differential pressure, level, and ultrasonic flow sensor technologies. Its product portfolio includes high-precision pressure transmitters and flow meters, and it provides customers with automation system integration solutions, serving sectors such as industrial automation, smart heating, and smart water supply.

ZenMeasure, founded in 2014, is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem and Fosun ecosystem. Its focus is on the infrastructure of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence + Internet of Things), aiming to make sensors wireless. Its products and solutions have already been applied in multiple industries and by numerous Fortune 500 companies. Simultaneously, it holds a leading position in China in the fields of "smart temperature and humidity meters" and "skin-based body temperature monitoring."

This collaboration is based on the complementary strengths of both parties in sensor technology, smart hardware R&D, and supply chain management. It aims to achieve full-chain synergy from underlying architecture to application scenarios, jointly driving the development of next-generation smart water meter business.

Addressing the current challenges in the smart water meter market, such as multi-protocol compatibility, stability in extreme environments, ease of meter reading, power consumption control, and secondary pollution, the jointly developed "multi-protocol, high-stability, low-power smart water meter remote transmission module" adopts a modular design. It is compatible with various communication protocols including Bluetooth, NB-IoT, LoRa, 4G, and 5G, to meet the diverse needs of water supply networks in different regions.

Furthermore, combined with ZenMeasure's low-power design, algorithms, and Wecan Precision's hardware optimization technology, the product's endurance is enhanced, allowing it to operate stably even in extreme environments.

The accompanying software management system provides functions such as water meter operational status monitoring, fault alerts, and big data-based water consumption forecasting and pipeline leakage diagnosis, offering comprehensive lifecycle management capabilities.

The plan is to complete the mass production of prototype units and software system testing in the first year. Leveraging their respective resources in overseas markets, they will focus on expanding into countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as markets in Europe and the United States.
